Dear Shireen,
Greetings from MPH Bookstores.
Thank you for your valuable feedback.
We will definitely look into your comments and improve in the near future. Just to give you a better understanding of the book industry, the recommended retail price is set by the publishers, we have no authority to change it.
As for earnings, our margins are really razor thin, most of our books are imported thus the exchange rates are killing us as well as high transportation cost coupled with low readership in Malaysia.
That is why you see many local bookstores come and go because they are not able to sustain.
Nevertheless we value very much the support that our customers have shown to us thus far, we will definitely find a balance to offer the very best and at the same time not to go out of business.
Again, thank you very much for your kind feedback.
sincerely,
Donald Kee
Senior Marketing Manager
