Save Water, drink beer.

We had the new CEO of WWF, Dr.DIONYSIUS S.K. SHARMA..he dropped by my office and had a short talk about nature + lifestyle in Malaysia. Note, it's no more World Wildlife Fund no more.. it's World Wide Fund For Nature Malaysia... but it's still in short.. WWF la..

Of course, you know, when you go to these talks, they will eventually bring the guilt out of you and the amount of awareness being raised it's quite .... horrifying.. If you actually watched Al-Gore who did the inconvenient truth not so recently about global warming, you'd know what i actually mean.

He started off by asking us....

'There are 2 type of people in this world. Can anyone help identify them?'

We all gave different answers.. his was... 'people who care and people who dont'

Good question and good answer actually.. and it was some what inspiring for self questions like 'what can you do to give back to nature?'

So... why dont we start recycling? My dad has started it. and yes, my house looks like a recycling center now. I have crushed cans in one corner, piled up newspapers/papers/magazine in the other, bottles in boxes and distorted plastic containers all in a bag. Well it is a bit of a mess... but i am not complaining because these are just the few things my family and I can really do to create some awareness and try to save the world? wahahah.. just kidding.. we're indeed trying.

My office too bought bins to recycle batteries and old old phones, which is also good because old batteries and gadgets like them are quite harmful to health.

Oh the other - other thing? please, please save water!!! We're actually buying water from pahang now due to lack of resources. Which is somewhat sad. If we learn how to save water, at least we allow some recovery time to fix the core of the problem and try to look for other alternative ways to maintain the status instead of making things worst.

yah la.. i dont wanna sound like a hero... maybe i have to mandi less to save water, drink beer and go to some hot spring or something.. what say you?

Recycling is good. My mom has been recycling papers, bottles and cans for some time now. If you're lazy to bring them to the recycling centers, you can always separate them into different plastics before throwing them.

That way, the people who collects the rubbish can pile them accordingly and recycle it themselves.
