Hi Shireen. Yes, your friend can sue them. They might be insured for this kinda stuff. Where did the brick fell from? Construction site?

Adrian... how ar? well i dont think it's construction site but he claimed that he was travelling on the highway under a overhead bridge. Then suddenly the brick came smashing behind the screen...
He went to NPE office and apparently they are not paying wo... but looking at the picture, it is a brick and not a piece of concrete.

dont think u can do anything but better to ask a lawyer friend and see if you can sue them for a few million VND...
By all means get them to sue if they can find the culprits. many similar situations in Australia where the bricks killed people.
Some thrown by children, others thrown by malcontents etc. Anyway, if they catch them, can even sue for attempted murder with the right lawyer!

NPE. New Pantai Expressway? ask your friend to find out if they have an 'All Risk' or any other General Liability cover. and which company insures them!! You need to do some digging on this. If construction site, would be easier. But since under Overhead Bridge - might be a bit tricky. But not impossible. Let me get back to you on this. Meanwhile, your friend already reported to the police?
