Oh.. back to the story where shawn couldnt go to China??? cos this year.. he PANTANG... kenot travel... so my mom, dad all also .... kenot go... What's WORST is... we were made to wear stuff to improve our lifestyle... *bleh....
I seriously think sometimes my mom is wayyyyy overboard... .. pantang travelling some more have to make us wear some chinky chong stuff to so call enhance our life......
Anyway... conclusion is.. we were made to wear JADEs... ughhhhh... yea.... for those who doesnt know.... jades are a conclusion to the ancient archived citizens who are wrinkled and old, so imagine those who are wearing it... ¬.¬
GUess who has to wear a heart shaped jade..................
yeapp.... pissed off shawn...... his friends laughed at him for some x amount of days ....

Chinese traditions are full of superstitions and 'pantangs'. If you really ask why u hv to do certain things; I bet u you won't get a straight answer. Usually, they will say "aiyah, just do it lah", or "people say wan".
Your mom means well but I am afraid she really kena con by all this fear-merchants. I saw quite a few cases of that when I was in China 2 years ago. Really unsrupulous one this fellers.

Well, sometimes I wear a watch [on my arm, not on any other part of my anatomy! :-)] I have a Pierre Cardin one with an opal face, BUT I seldom ever ear it. :-)
