Anyway... so it was deepavali and of course... having alot of 'ah neys' buddies has it advantage... I get to stuff my Fat f*cking face with indian food... so of course my buddy Thana invited me to his place ... but.. funny that he catagorize me as the 'gorgeous'
So we went back to his place... waited.. because he had to pray to his ancestors... yada yada yada.... his mom was cooking ...and of course, trying to be a true malaysia.. i ASKED whether he he had to be vegetarian... and he said 'yeah of course ... that's why i has caesar salad
Prayed - eat(apparently not vegetarian because the prayers were for ancestors) - Start working
So we started our decorating at 8-ish pm....... he's being so troublesome..... he suggested to hang this shiny beaded strings ONE BY ONE (60 of them to be double sided taped, stuck up the ceiling and reinforced with tape) all over his porch to create an ala retro with peacock feather (60 of them to be cut from the long stem and double sided at both ends to make sure it looks good) attached at the end. When the wind blows.. it looks MARVELLOUS!!!! BUT... the job was simply tiring.... and he said he wanted to make some RANGGOLI/KOLAM under the beaded thingy... i was like .. WTF!??? that will take a decade!!! he even wanted to go buy the ready made sticker type... ??? i was like..... 'and whats the f*cking point'.. HUH???? anyway .. he ended up pouring petals all over the floor and lighting up oil lamps... sorry no pic.. cos when i arrived i was busy being 'gorgeous' ....

Oh for those who doesnt know what is ranggoli/kolam.. it's something like rice/old riped coconut being grind into fine powdery texture and dyed in colours and being laid on the floor...

And here is thana in his pyjama dictating me ....he was doing the void brick slots with tea candles..... to be lighted at night.. good idea actually but the heat was crazy... When we got the pack of tea light candles, it was all stuck together in bulk.. maybe it has been kept for awhile so he had to slam the candles to floor to break it up... the passionate way he slammed the tea lights on the floor seems that we should make it a sport competition and made available for the coming olympics...

And.. this.... our finished productions.. all 60 hung up at random on his ceiling ... and peacock feather attached at the end of it... So not bad la... during the night i arrived on Deepavali.. not much i could really feast on because i was the last batch of 'friends' and i had left overs only... but... had a fabulous time with some fabulous 'glamourous' friends... bleh* So it was all good la..
Oh on a short note... HAPPY HARI RAYA!! to my muslim friends and family...
